Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup Spicy Garlic-Parm sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, julienned
  • 4 red onions, sliced 
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 8 butter lettuce leaves

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and fry until caramelized. Transfer the onions to a plate and set aside.

  2. Add ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.

  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the turkey, sautéing for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Pour in the Spicy Garlic-Parm sauce and low-sodium soy sauce, stirring to coat the turkey evenly. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  5. While the turkey is simmering, prepare the shredded carrots, red cabbage, and julienned cucumber.

  6. Assemble the lettuce wraps by spooning the Spicy Garlic-Parm turkey mixture into each lettuce leaf.

  7. Top with shredded carrots, red cabbage, cucumber, caramelized red onions, and fresh cilantro.

  8. Serve immediately and enjoy these wraps as a flavorful and low-calorie meal.
