Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean stewing beef, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Taste Flavor Co. Mango Habanero Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.

  2. Add onion and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes until softened.

  3. Stir in sweet potatoes, carrots, beef broth, water, tomato paste, mango habanero sauce, paprika, and black pepper.

  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 45 minutes, or until beef and vegetables are tender.

  5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
