Zesty Southwest Ranch Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs 
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons Southwest Ranch Sauce
  • 2 whole-wheat buns
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado

  1. In a bowl, mash black beans with a fork, leaving some chunks for texture.

  2. Add breadcrumbs, onion, egg white, cumin, and Southwest Ranch Sauce. Mix until well combined. Form into two patties.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a light spray of oil. Cook patties for 5 minutes per side, until firm and browned.

  4. Serve on whole-wheat buns topped with slices of red onion, tomato, lettuce, and avocado.
